What is Blu-Ray DVD
Video technology has increased significantly over the last few years, and continues to grow at a level extraordinary rates.following progress in terms of video storage, will be released soon a new format called Blu-ray.
Blu-Ray is a next-generation optical disc that will shift from what we all know today: DVD. Conventional DVDs use red lasers have long wavelengths, which limits the storage capacity on disk. Blu-Ray use blue lasers have shorter wavelengths. Because Blu-ray wavelengths are smaller, they can focus on a place with much greater precision, allowing for data to be packed much more tightly than the red laser DVD.
Blu-Ray disc can store up to 50GB of data, which is 10 times the 4.5GB DVD. with 10 times the storage will greatly increase amount of data that can be stored on each single disc and will change the way we store data. Dual Layer Blu-Ray disc can store up to 4 hours of High-Definition Video. High Definition video will hit big here, Blu-Ray is an example of a technology that will make it happen. 50GB may be proportional to the size of many of the hard drive, and imagined having all data on a small disk that we can save it into a pocket and take wherever we want is a bit scary.
Expect to see Blu-Ray replacing DVD and VCR over the next few years, after along with the video transition to High Definition Video. Video is not the only one who will benefit from Blu-Ray technology, I would expect that it will also become the standard for PCs and storage media types.
