We all have to travel more than our ancestors. We traveled around the world and only think about jet lag, and not the vast distances that we have achieved. Our world has become smaller and more affordable. And this is a good thing. This helps us to understand different cultures, different people with different ways of living. But there are some important things that should always be checked before travelling.

1. This may seem obvious, but many people don’t care to find out the things that most fundamental of the country they will leave. You must do this to avoid surprises or disappointments.

2. Check on the type of weather your destination where you are going. If you live in Florida and a trip to northern Greenland, you will be surprised unless you know that there have cold weather

3. Make sure that the value of medical and general insurance is sufficient to cover yourself .

4. Make sure you have all the paperwork and documentation required for your trip.

5. Are there any diseases that would require immunization where would you go? Check and find out before getting exposed.

6. If you plan on driving to where you intend to travel, check that you have a license that can be accepted. For example you will need an international driving license. And you know the local driving laws where you going? If not, become familiar, fast.

7. Finally, the most obvious of all: is your passport up to date? And if not, whether you have enough time to renew it before you leave? You’d be surprised, because how many people have problems with passports which have expired.
